I would use "comply with the safety requirements of AS/NZS 4763" due to wide range of inverters available form all parts of the world. Even in Aust. there are very few manufacturers who claim direct compliance with AS/NZS 4763.

AS/NZS 3000 is NOT the main document for complaince in NZ it is the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010 +amendments is the document to which all electrical work is certified. AS/NZS 3000 just happens to be one of the ways of complying.

Be aware that AS/NZS 3000 only covers INSTALLATION wiring it does NOT cover appliances or other similar type loads temporarly plugged into socket outlets of a connectable installation.

It depends on the span lenght, use PVC conduit if the span is short, or a run of 4x 2 timber. Use 2 + E TPS or 2 core + N/S. If a long span use 2 core + N/S, you have to use larger CSA cable and hard drawn cable for a long run.
