AS/NZS 3000:2007 Superseded?

I was just looking through standards website for AS/NZS 3000 and saw version 2007 has now been superseded by 2018. I must have missed the memo.

So is AS/NZS 3000:2018 now current?

Under deck cable protection

Hi team,

What are the rules regarding protection of low voltage cables under a deck?

Also what tips do you have for clipping 12 v cables for garden lighting to bricks. I found a you tube video where the guy drilled a hole for a piece of dowel and use that to nail in the clips.

Thanks

Tips on hiring apprentice

Well finally going to give back and train an apprentice. Got a keen young fella who wants to come on board. Seems two options for training, ETCO or Skills, anyone used either/recommendations. It was a long time ago I did my apprenticeship, we are talking log books :)

Thanks.

Re: Reroof auckland Special

Hi AlecK, what sort of bracket? The cable comes from a pole two driveways away so can imagine be a major to get Vector to go underground. Simplest option is to replace rotten wood I guess. I went to the property today and switchboard is very dated so the owner has given me the go ahead to replace it...

SwicthBoard sealing

Saw an interesting post over on the sparkies facebook page re sealing gaps in a switchboard. Got me thinking. If we are replacing an old switchboard what are the sealing requirements. Haven't been in the game that long but what were the old requirements and if we are replacing do we comply with what...

I have a customer that wants to install an electric door opener in the garage of one of her properties. Its a two story block of flat type arrangement. There is only lights in the garage, no power. And no easy way to get power from the middle flat down into the garage. I was thinking of looping of t...
