I would'nt use a bootlace crimp on a 2.5mm TPS wire in a DB, there is a much better surface area connection with the conductor twisted and folded over than with a bootlace crimp. Who is active in the haz area trade

Who is practicing on the regular and what type of industry are your installs?

I do a bit within the pulp and paper industry. Been off and on it the last 3 years. Turps, H2S, NCG, natural gas. Most of the work was to get older plant up to standard.
Mostly Exi bit of Exd and e.

Thanks AlecK. Interesting that I had a copy that old as I do not think it had been that long downloaded from Standards NZ. Anyway, got it now..... cheers :roll:

Ok, cool. Thanks for that. I am planning on getting back into the books from now and enrol in the course in Taurange for next year. Will give me plenty of time and good to do it under the current regs and wiring rules, which i am familar with the layout etc

Has anyone here done the inspectors exam in the last few years?. Has it changed to the computer based Aspeq exam like the standard electrical exam or still old type?.
