Gas appliance

Post by Retired14 »

I need to connect a built-in gas heater and would like to confirm the requirement for a switch adjacent to the heater and that it must switch all live conductors (i.e. both phase and neutral)? This is from NZS 3000 section 4.18.1.

I haven't done a gas heater before so would like make sure I do the right thing.

Thanks

Most people opt for one of the socket outlet options to avoid the use of an isolating switch

Also ESRs alter those clauses in 3000 to only require switching of actives and not neutrals so a double pole is not needed
