What are people using or doing to comply with this? Any advice on the cheapest way to go about it?

I just print out these and staple in place. I guess you could put it in a plastic sleeve, or laminate it if you're fancy.

Most of the wholesalers I deal with have a option on the shelf, I think I normally pay around $10 for them.
I have been questioned a couple of times by the building inspectors being curious as they dont normally see them

I've never seen any at wholesalers near me and when I've asked some said they had in the past but had no demand

I was just curious as to how others achieved this in the cheapest way, I've never come across on in my time because either people don't know or the ones that do don't bother due to cost and no one else caring about it

I have had the same comment from the wholesalers in the past about no one buying them.
Im not sure if the problem is that no one knows that they are required, if people think that they are not needed as most light can be covered by batts, or if it was to confusing then the rule first came out as it included commercial buildings at the time with tiled ceilings

Once we get to using 3000:2018, the sign will not be required if the lights are IC or IC-4
Also under 3000:2007, the clause is varied by the ESRs, that it doesn't apply to non-domestic installations.

Brady & other signage suppliers had them available; probably still do.
But at nearly $20 apiece, hardly surprising that there weren't many sales.
And wholesalers don't tend to carry slow-moving stock.
