Appendix H3.2.1, AS/NZS 3760:2010

Post by Spannerz »

Hello,

Can anyone confirm, Appendix H3.2.1 (This is probably an already known typo.)

"The test may be preformed on a single-phase supply"

Should read,

"The test may be preformed on a three-phase supply"

Thanks.

No.

This is really an Exception to the general rule [3.2] that 3-phase RCDs must be tested on a 3-phase supply.
It relaxes that general rule so that a single-phase supply can by used for the test, subject to either of the conditions.

OK. Yes, the method is fine.

Should it read

"...preformed FROM a single-phase supply"

Fine if you read it consecutively from 3.1 through to 3.2.1 (b)..Note 3, Before completely skipping Appendix i which seems to be missing altogether..?

Code: Select all

[H3.2]..."For three-phase RCDs"....
.......[3.2.1] ..."test maybe preformed on a single phase supply"...
...............(a)....
...............(b)....
...................Note 1....
...................Note 2....
...................Note 3....
