NZS6116 - Do I need to confirm whole dossier?

Post by JamieP »

When completing a periodic inspection do I need to confirm everything is present in the dossier? Or as long as items 37 and 38 of table 2 are present, is that enough to pass?

TIC:
Since the dossier is supposed to include documentation attesting to competence of persons undertaking inspection;
perhaps you should already know the answer?

I can see nothing that requires the completeness of the dossier to be checked ;
and PA isn't required by ESRs in the same way as other types of PA.
But the concept is borrowed directly from "hazardous area" rules where checking that the dossier has been kept up to date is part of the periodic assessment required by ESR 75,

It's about checking the safety of the installation; so the question is whether that depends in an full &complete dossier.
Hard to conclude that it's not relevant.
I'd suggest you can'y omit any item in the column you're using. Including #39 (staff training)
