lightning protection system certification

Post by Knuckle »

Hi All,

Been asked about the certification (COC and ROI) of a lightning protection system once we install it. My first thought was installing down conductors and the bonding/earthing cables would be considered PEW and require a CoC but its not a low voltage installation so now thinking NZS3000 would not apply? any thoughts guys n gals..?

Yeah good point.

Is it PEW under Schedule 1 of ESRS is probably the main question.

Does it meet the exception for being a supply not exceeding ELV?

Look at definition of ;electrical installation";
Remembering to use the one in our Act, not the one in "3000".
Hard to see how a lighting protection system fits into that, so I reckon not PEW
