Anyone had experience putting thru-wall extractors through blockwork/insulclad?
Client not keen for window-mounted extraction option.
easy enough in terms of wiring and core-drilling, question is more in regard to building/structural effects and wall water-tightness
bathrooms are on ground floor of 2 story dwelling
Any help appreciated!

Check Building Act; Schedule 1 for building work that's exempt from needing consent.
Energy (ie gas & electrical) work has a general exemption; but that doesn't let us just cut apertures in structures.
From memory apertures up to 250 mm diameter just need to follow Building Code; larger = restricted building work.
If I've got that right, you won't need a LBP to make the aperture.
As to how to go about it; the Building Code documents are freely available via building.govt.nz
You'll need to look mainly at Clause E2 (external moisture) for the high-level requirements;
and E2/AS1 for the "acceptable solution" that is deemed to comply (else get a specific design; which will be expensive)

The standard for 'light timber-framed construction" , NZS 3604, is now available free via SNZ, there's also a link on the building.govt website for that plus a bunch of other building-related standards.
Well worth downloading it, as it has direct effects on many aspects of electrical work, eg drilling holes for cables
And the principles often carry across to other construction types.
