Earthing of conductive switchboard enclosure

Post by JamieP »

Just saw a question in regards to is it sufficient for the frame to be earthed via the earth bar being connected via conductive screws/bolts or if an a separate PEC needs to be connected

I always thought this was absolutely fine and still do but I was just wondering if someone could point me to the clause that covers this?

I looked at 5.5.2.3 and 5.5.6.2 but unsure if either of those actually related to this

Further note: not talking about the E bar touching the metal enclosure directly but indirectly through the nuts/bolts/screws etcetc

Think I found the answer which makes it fine in AS/NZS 69431.1

Section 8.4.3.2.2, curious on thoughts thought
