Questions 1
"The space shown in Figure 2 extending 1500 mm around all possible patient locations in a
cardiac-protected electrical area."

Does this mean that the patient environment can only be in a cardiac-protected area of can only start from inside but could extend 1500mm to outside the cardiac-protected room?

Question 2
" The patient environment does not extend through walls"

But can it extend through an open door?

EXAMPLE

Patient location. Is the entire cardiac-protected room. So patients environment is 1500mm from the edge of the room and on the edge of the room is a door into a toilet /shower room within 1500mm

So is this toilet shower room in the patient environment?

You should find that the BPA and CPA should be marked on the floor with inlays in the flooring.

But the answer to Q1and Q2 is yes.

BPA and CPA can quite hard to wrap your head around and get it right.

I've done a little bit of BPA and CPA work at Waikato Hospital, while I don't know everything about the areas feel free to bounce some questions off me
