3003 section 9 medical

Post by Dan L »

3003

SECTION 9 ROUTINE INSPECTION AND
TESTING OF CARDIAC-PROTECTED AND
BODY-PROTECTED ELECTRICAL AREAS

"(a) ensuring that all electrical installation work in the patient area has been carried out in
compliance with the appropriate requirements of this Standard, or a previous edition;"

Can this simply be achieved by relying on Initial certification/ inspection?

And with the routine inspection to section 9 I can strictly just satisfy that section requirements with out having to look at any of the additional requirements in the standard.

with section 9 the earth resistance and potential difference test is only required for some but not all things mentioned in the entire standard for example it dies not ask you to test resistance of non electrical equipment in section 9 but does in the standard

May be obvious but good to make sure

Thanks

To simplify for routine inspection can I just do the section 9 and no need to do anything else unless I see something that's non compliant with the standards of time of install.
