Can we add a "General Forum Discussion" or "General Electrical Discussion" or maybe both?

"Off topic" section I would assume is anything not electrical?

Sounds reasonable. The quoting does make it somewhat ugly. Especially for general discussions.

These things have a way working themselves out without having to create rules in my opinion

By 'quoting' I mean the senseless copying of vast amounts of text from the post immediately above. It happens a lot on some other forums like www.fishnhunt.co.nz or www.offroadexpress.kiwi and often includes the photos as well.

After all, when having a discussion in real life we don't repeat the words of the person who just spoke before giving our reply. The Code sort of quoting you refer to is a good idea - I was not referring to that. Regardless I'm grateful to have a proper forum bow so that text can be edited and photos properly displayed. Hopefully there will be a facility where we can contribute to the running costs of this site.
